Tech Express Disclaimer

Disclaimer:

  • Tech Express will provide services and repairs only when requested or when given permission by the customer.
  • The length of time required to perform service/repair is only an estimate and cannot be guaranteed.
  • You understand that there may be potential for data loss. You agree that you have made the necessary backups or requested that the technician attempt to make a backup for you for a half-hour charge.
  • You authorize the technicians providing the service or repair to install software to help with specific issues or to diagnose particular issues. All software will be deleted/uninstalled upon completion.

Billing Terms:

  • We charge $50/hour for technician time plus the cost of any replacement parts. There is a minimum ½ hour charge ($25) for the diagnostic time.
  • An estimated cost of work can be provided before performing any repair or service upon request. Estimates are not guaranteed.
  • In the case that there is an unforeseen overage above the estimated amount, every effort will be made to contact you and inform you of the situation. If you cannot be reached, work will be stopped until contact is established. Once reached, your decision to continue or stop work will be honored.
  • If you do not pick up your device or you are unable to be reached for more than 30 days after work has been completed or stopped, Tech Express is not responsible for storage or protection of the device being serviced. Your device may be repurposed or recycled.

Payment Terms:

  • Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs.
  • Computer parts, hardware, and/or software that are ordered must be paid for in advance.
  • Tech Express accepts cash, checks, and credit cards.

Liability:

  • Tech Express services are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the device you bring to us.
  • Your system will not be intentionally harmed. The primary goal is to fix your computer, not damage it.
  • In the case of accidental damage to your system or data loss caused by existing problems in your system such as viruses, poorly configured software, or hardware problems/failures, you agree not to hold Tech Express or its employees accountable for damage.

Support:

  • All services will be handled in a professional, reasonable, and timely manner, taking into consideration the circumstances and nature of technical problems.
  • Support will be provided only for problems specified in the service order. Additional support for a different problem will require a new service order or will be added as an extra item to an existing service order.
  • Your satisfaction is our main goal at Tech Express.

Repairs and Service Guarantee:

  • All services and repairs are guaranteed for 10 days from the retrieval of your device(s).
  • If it is later found that the service or repair was incorrectly diagnosed by the technician, Tech Express will perform the repair/service free of any labor charge. Only new parts will be charged.
